Victorian Warriors coach Paul Norton has just informed us that GH Music will kick off their first jam for the year  in April Jam date: Saturday April 2nd at 2pm Venue: Hardimans Hotel 521 Macaulay Rd Kensington All gear is supplied by GH Music, you can bring your own guitar or bass etc if you wish. There will be 4 rehearsals through April with the show at the Central Club in Richmond on Sunday May 1st at 1pm. There is no charge for the jam. The Beat of The Shire in Caringbah, NSW held their first jam for the year on February 7th and going by coach Paul Christie's comments, it was one of the most vibrant jams he's ever experienced. "Of all the Warriors Jam Days I have done," he said, "this particular one comprised the best ever cross section of players I have seen. As a test cricketer, Mike Whitney was one of the most popular players in the Australian team in the late 80s into the 90s. He played 12 tests and took 39 wickets at an average of 33.97, which was not too shabby. He's also probably the only Australian cricketer to take the field with a 'fro'.
