KC's Rockshop presented a successful Big Gig on Sunday May 15th. An enthusiastic crowd cheered on the Warrior bands at the Knox Club in the east Melbourne suburb, Wantirna. Coached brilliantly by local guitar legend Ron Peers, as always with the Weekend Warriors experience, participating band members had the time of their lives. Here are some photos from the afternoon. Great news just in from the South Australian Weekend Warriors club and proof that anything is possible when you join a Weekend Warriors program. Two South Australian based Weekend Warrior bands, MOSS and Strange Brew Band are each about to release their own CDs of original music. Could this be a Weekend Warrior's first? The bands will be jointly launching their new CDs and performing them live on stage at The Gov in Adelaide on 7 August from 1pm. YOUNG WARRIORS SONG WORKSHOP IS A HIT!

Inspired by the successful, long-running Weekend Warriors program, overseen by the AMA, a new concept, the Young Warriors has been launched on the Gold Coast. In conjunction with the Gold Coast council and Recreational Music Making Australia, the AMA's Dom Disisto had around 40 kids, aged between 12 -19 years show up for the registration day on April 16th. The young musicians jammed away on classic rock anthems by Green Day, 3 Doors Down and many others, as they began their 10 week program journey.
