Jindalee (QLD) store The Best Music Shop presented their first ever Weekend Warriors jam on Monday 2nd November at the Retro Bar with great results. Kerry Jacobsen, former drummer with iconic New Zealand rock band Dragon, slotted musicians into four groups and had them playing tunes in no time. Next the participants will move into the rehearsal stage before playing a gig in a month's time. Below are some photos from the jam. http://bestmusicshop.com.au/

South Australia's annual Riverstock event is nearly here! Featuring Weekend Warrior bands and special guests, Riverstock runs for three days on the banks of the beautiful Murray River. Riverstock dates this year are November 13, 14 and 15, beginning at 6pm on the Friday and finishing up at 8.30pm on the Sunday. We are pleased to announce another host store in Brisbane, The Best Music Shop in Jindalee. It is conveniently located for people in the south and southwest. We're pleased to announce our Brisbane based coach, Kerry Jacobson (Dragon, Mondo Rock) is taking the reins once again. The initial JAM hosted by The Best Music Shop will be on Monday November 2 at the Retro Bar, 2071 Moggill Road Kenmore - at the moment the Big Gig is scheduled for December 6.

Mall Music Brookvale held a successful JAM on Sunday, 27th with 18 mainly guitarists and singers, signing up for a round. But they're a bit short of bass players and drummers to complete the bands, so calling all bass players and drummers, come along and join us at a second jam on Sunday 11 October at the Warringah Community Centre. The round will get underway very shortly thereafter, with the Big Gig re-scheduled for 8 November Check out the Mall Music site for more details.

GH Music has announced its next round of Weekend Warriors with coach Paul Norton. As is usual the JAM will be held at Hardiman's Hotel, Kensington on Saturday, October 10 from 2pm.
