Mall Music Brookvale held a successful JAM on Sunday, 27th with 18 mainly guitarists and singers, signing up for a round. But they're a bit short of bass players and drummers to complete the bands, so calling all bass players and drummers, come along and join us at a second jam on Sunday 11 October at the Warringah Community Centre. The round will get underway very shortly thereafter, with the Big Gig re-scheduled for 8 November Check out the Mall Music site for more details.

GH Music has announced its next round of Weekend Warriors with coach Paul Norton. As is usual the JAM will be held at Hardiman's Hotel, Kensington on Saturday, October 10 from 2pm. The long awaited return of Weekend Warriors to Brookvale has been announced. Mall Music will host the Jam on September 27th at 1pm at the Warringah Mall Community Centre. Dates have been set for two more programs in Caringbah and Newcastle. In Caringbah the next round hosted by Beat of the Shire kicks off with the JAM on Sunday, Aug 16th, 2:30pm at Kareela Golf Club, 1 Bates Drive, Kareela. This will be followed by the Big Gig - September 27th, also at 2:30pm Kareela Golf Club. In Newcastle the next round to be hosted by Muso's Corner will host the JAM at the store on Tuesday, September 1st and the gig will be Sunday, October 11th at the Northern Star Hotel, 112 Beaumont st Hamilton Get online and register, we'll keep you updated.

Muso's Corner, Newcastle will host their first big gig on July 12 at the Northern Star Hotel, 112 Beaumont st Hamilton. at 6pm. The venue is family friendly and has a great bistro, so all are welcome. The bands are currently being mentored by Rose Tattoo great Dai Pritchard preparing for the show, blazing new ground for the Weekend Warriors movement in Newcastle. The Weekend Warrior family in Australia extends its heartfelt condolences to Ron Peers and family on the passing of his wife Enza on Saturday, June 6, 2015. Ronnie has been a long-time coach in our movement in Melbourne, and Enza was a keen supporter often helping at gigs and supporting Ronnie. She was a much loved person, a great singer, well known known and respected in the music industry.
